Term calculator
Find out your expected date of birth and how far along you are.
How it works: Enter the first day of your last menstrual period. The calculator uses the standard Naegele rule (283 days) to calculate your expected due date and tell you exactly which week and trimester you are currently in.

Frequently asked questions about term dates
How do you calculate the due date?
In Norway, the due date is normally calculated based on Naegele's rule, adapted to the Norwegian length of pregnancy. You start from the first day of your last period, and add 283 days (which corresponds to 40 weeks and 3 days). However, an ultrasound around week 18 will give a more accurate ultrasound date.
What trimester am I in?
Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters: The first trimester lasts from week 1 to the end of week 12. The second trimester runs from week 13 to and including week 27. The third and final trimester starts in week 28 and lasts until birth.
